My research activity is characterized by a multi-scalar, quantitative approach that include the integration of geophysical data with satellite/DEM images for multi- and inter-disciplinary studies related to: i. the exploration and investigation of the energy resources and their sustainable development; ii. the evolution of the solid earth and terrestrial surface; iii. the evolution of the atmosphere (cryosphere-solid earth interaction) and of the hydrosphere (monitoring and assessment of the water resources). Used methodologies include the collection, analysis, and numerical modeling of structural geology, geophysical/geodetic, and morphologic data, as well as the study of crustal stress fields (recent and/or active) responsible for the landscape evolution in tectonically active regions.
