MISSION
To ensure the continuity and integrity of the data collected for the significant, uninterrupted historical series that dates back to 1833. The data gathered by the meteorological station serves not only scientific purposes, particularly in the context of climate change research, but also provides valuable information to the University’s internal technical departments or to private entities upon request.
OUR SERVICES
- Publication and regular annual updating of the almost two-centuries-long historical data series, made available to the scientific community and to any interested parties
- Customized analysis of meteorological data for scientific purposes
- Issuance of meteorological certificates, both for internal use by the University’s technical departments and for external private entities upon request
EQUIPMENTS
- Certified professional meteorological station (SiapMicros), equipped with: sensors for temperature, precipitation, wind speed and direction, humidity, atmospheric pressure, and solar radiation
- Dedicated server for data acquisition, using the “Polaris” PostgreSQL database system, supplied by SiapMicros
