MISSION

Make the basic preparations essential for researchers in other laboratories on materials such as minerals, rocks and other materials that may require similar preparations such as shells, corals, ceramics and composite solid materials.

OUR SERVICES

Preparation of thin sections and metallographic polished sections for study by optical microscopy in transmitted and reflected polarized light
Preparation of polished samples for study and microanalysis by SEM-EDS and other instruments that require it
Preparation of crushed and micronized (porphyrized with tungsten rings) rock and similar samples for chemical and XRD analysis
Preliminary embedding and consolidation of fragile, friable and altered materials or unconsolidated sediments

Preparations are carried out exclusively by authorized personnel. For safety reasons, access is permitted only for sample delivery and sample collection by appointment at +39 010 3538318 or by emailing the staff
